The following projects are included:
Water Issues in Flagstaff– This site shows some of the things the Flagstaff Water Group has learned about Flagstaff water issues, particularly Conservation and Waste Water issues.
Woody Biomass Dryers – A proposal to use fluidized beds for woodchip drying based on work with several bench scale units.
IP Dispute – Northern Arizona University (NAU) has claimed some of our Intellectual Property (IP) and has filed a patent on a portion of design. The story of this over-reach and incompetence is described.
Window Covering Testing – A standard method for testing shades and high R-value coverings is described, as are results from an earlier version of the test apparatus. A standard test for this application is now possible because Computational Fluid Dynamics (CDD) programs can now correct the standardized R-values for the multitude of variables that have until now prevented a simple testing process.
Water Conservation in Flagstaff– Learn about the results of your water conservation efforts by comparing your yearly per-capita water consumption. The City water bills contain the water consumption data for your household. This site helps you get that data, converts it a per-capita basis, lets you see how this compares to others in the City, and lets you see what awards you may be eligible for from the Flagstaff WaterWise program sponsored by Friends of Flagstaff’s Future.
