Although there are many types of insulating boards (fiberglass, polystyrene bead-board and “blue” or “pink” board),are available,the use of “pink” board made by Dow is assumed in this work because its R-value is well defined (even at different temperatures), and it is readily available to users.  An average of R5.0 per inch of thickness can be assumed for rough calculations.
